Ele MM?
Is it possible for Elementalist to make a adequate Minion Master. I mean, I know it's not optimal, but I was just curious if it's possible to work effectively.

You don't have 16 death magic, you don't have free energy management, and you have absolutely no benefits to playing a mm on an ele.
Can an ele summon minions? Yes, but so can an assassin, it's just a bad idea.

Eles got large energy pool so it can't possibly be compared with a sin. I think they could be MMs but of course not as good as real necros. Sig of souls for energy regain and GoLE... of course eles would have less minions anyway

A large energy pool does not equate to energy management, which an Assassin could technically have a lot of through Critical Strikes (not recommended though). In addition, Signet of Lost Souls is a Soul Reaping skill, and the benefit at 0 Soul Reaping is terrible.

As stressed above, without Soul Reaping, you're at a great disadvantage when trying to operate with minions effectively. That's the key issue. The amount of energy you have doesn't really matter.

This idea was popular among the dullest of the community when Soul Reaping was first put on a timer; it is as bad now as it was then. Can it be effective? Well, what do you want to do with it? Kill Charr in Ascalon? Yeah, it'll work for that. The character would not be sufficiently bad that you'd be unable to complete the game, if that's what you're getting at.

People have completed campains with starter armor and without runes.
ofcourse u can play your ele as minion master, healer, smiter or whatever u want. And you will for sure be able to complete the game, It's all a matter of time, and effectiveness.

The effectiveness of an ele as a MM would be somewhere between that of a monk and a warrior being MM's. Which is pretty bad.
But sure, it'll get you through the game (with a lot of frustration along the way) if that's all you want to do.
